IMPORTANT LIMIT
Conversion is not background removal.
A JPG has no transparent pixels. Turning it into PNG preserves its existing background; it does not automatically make white areas transparent.

Does converting JPG to PNG improve quality?＋
No. PNG prevents additional lossy compression, but it cannot restore detail already removed when the JPG was created. The PNG may also be larger than the original JPG.
Will JPG to PNG create a transparent background?＋
No. Converting formats does not automatically remove a background. Any white or colored background already present in the JPG remains in the PNG.
Is my JPG uploaded to a server?＋
